Frequently Asked Questions

All rentals are for a standard 7-day period. If you need more time, just call us before the 7 days are up — we can make other arrangements. Extended rental fees may apply depending on availability and duration. We recommend calling at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup if you need an extension so we can adjust our schedule. Tip: Most cleanouts and renovation projects finish within the 7-day window. If you're unsure, give us a call and we'll work with you.

For safety and environmental compliance, the following items cannot go in any of our dumpsters regardless of size: Hazardous liquids — oil, gasoline, paint, solvents | Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials | Concrete, bricks, or asphalt (weight and disposal restrictions) | Yard waste and soil | Items sticking above the top rail of the dumpster Items that ARE fine (and free of extra charge): flat screen TVs, batteries, propane tanks, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and most appliances — as long as they're near the back door or on top for easy access.

If the dumpster is placed entirely on your private property (driveway, yard), you typically do not need a permit in most MA and CT towns we serve. If you need to place it on a public street or road, a permit from your local municipality is usually required. Requirements vary by town — some require 24–48 hours notice, others require a fee. We recommend calling your town's Public Works or Highway Department before booking if you need a street placement. We're happy to advise based on our experience in your area — just ask when you call.

We offer next-day delivery in most cases — many customers call on a Tuesday and have their dumpster by Wednesday. For same-day delivery, call us early in the morning and we'll do our best depending on our schedule. During peak seasons (spring cleanouts, summer renovations) we recommend booking 2–3 days ahead to guarantee your preferred delivery date.

Yes — we actively recycle as much metal as possible from every load. To help us maximize recycling and potentially reduce your costs: Place metal items near the back door of the dumpster or on top | Keep metal separate from general debris where possible | Scrap metal recycling helps offset disposal costs Items like old appliances, metal pipes, and steel framing are all recyclable. The more metal we can recover, the better for the environment and the lower our overall disposal costs.

The fill line is the top rail of the dumpster. No items should stick above or over the top railing when the dumpster is picked up. This is both a safety requirement and a legal one — overloaded dumpsters cannot be transported safely on public roads. If your dumpster is over the fill line when we arrive for pickup, we may need to remove the excess before hauling, which could result in additional charges. Rule of thumb: if you're not sure if it will fit, call us. We'd rather help you choose the right size upfront than deal with an overfilled dumpster on pickup day.
